TWO FULL-FRAME IMAGES

Torn Paper Wipe is built for a before-and-after moment. Upload the two images, choose the direction of the tear, and the second frame is revealed through a paper edge rather than through a geometric mask alone.

Both images remain full-frame rectangles outside the transition window. That matters for outfit changes, retouches, product revisions and location swaps where the viewer should see the complete source image before and after the change.

02

THE EDGE CARRIES THE MOTION

The paper edge is driven by a deterministic, irregular path shared by the image reveal, underside paper and fiber material. A small amount of displacement creates the uneven edge; the image assets add the paper grain and cellulose detail that a clean CSS line cannot provide.

Diagonal Rip is the default for a fast social transition. Horizontal Tear reads like a page being pulled upward. Center Split opens from the middle when the two images need a stronger reveal beat.

03

TUNE THE BEAT

Fast keeps the transition close to the opening hook. Balanced gives the paper edge enough time to read. Dramatic lets the tear breathe for a reveal, product detail or voice-over cue. End Hold controls the clean after-image that remains at the end.

White, News and Gray change the paper tone. The uploaded photos are left untouched apart from the controlled scale used to prevent an empty border during the wipe.

04

USE IT BEFORE THE EDITOR

The exported MP4 can go directly into a vertical timeline, where you can add the current platform sound, captions and any longer clip around it. For a smooth match, set the surrounding footage to the same frame rate as the export.

The transition is intentionally short. It creates a visual change between two prepared frames; it does not attempt to invent a new outfit, location or product state from one source image.

FAQ

THE DETAILS

CAN I USE ANY TWO PHOTOS?

Yes. Upload one Before image and one After image in JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF format.

WHICH DIRECTION SHOULD I START WITH?

Diagonal Rip is the default. Use Horizontal Tear for a page-like wipe and Center Split for a reveal that opens from the middle.

IS THE TEAR A PERFECT STRAIGHT LINE?

No. The transition uses a deterministic irregular boundary and a generated fiber edge to keep the wipe visibly paper-like.

CAN I CHANGE THE PAPER COLOR?

Yes. Choose White, News or Gray in the Torn Paper Wipe studio.
