A PHOTO WITH A POINT OF VIEW

A strong short-form opening often needs one image and one line. Newspaper Highlight turns that pair into a compact front-page composition: the photo settles into newsprint, the headline controls the hierarchy, and the highlighted phrase lands as the final visual cue.

Every character is rendered by the browser and Remotion. The generated paper pack supplies fibers, ink variation and marker pigment, while the headline, body copy and highlighted words remain crisp, editable and repeatable.

02

WRITE THE PART PEOPLE SHOULD READ

Enter a headline of up to 60 common English characters, choose a phrase of up to 24 characters, and add an optional short body. The layout normalizes smart quotes, long dashes and unsupported symbols before the preview is rendered, so the final video does not inherit fake AI lettering.

Yellow works for an editorial marker. Vermilion gives the same motion a sharper, more urgent tone. The text remains part of the project data, which makes it easy to revise a word without regenerating a paper asset.

03

THREE PACES FOR THE FIRST SECOND

Fast completes the main paper entrance early and leaves a short hold for a hook. Editorial gives the headline room to settle. Dramatic slows the reveal and keeps the finished page on screen longer for a voice-over or a deliberate beat.

The current studio exports portrait video at 720p or 1080p and 30 or 60 FPS. Preview and export use the same seed, crop and timeline, so the finished MP4 matches the composition approved in the browser.

04

WHERE IT FITS

Use the newspaper highlight maker for a creator hook, a product announcement, a quick fact, a character introduction or a comment that deserves a visual headline. Keep the most important words away from the top, right and bottom interface zones when you plan to add captions inside TikTok or Reels.

The result is a short visual insert rather than a complete edit. Add the current platform sound, subtitles and voice-over in your preferred editor after exporting the clean MP4.

05

BUILD THE HIERARCHY BEFORE THE STYLE

Write the headline first, then choose the highlight phrase. The headline should tell the viewer what the image means, while the marker should point to one word or short clause that deserves a second look. When every word is highlighted, the eye loses the reason to move through the page.

A headline between one and three short lines usually fits the editorial composition most comfortably. Read it at phone size and remove filler words that exist only to occupy the paper. The optional body can carry a little context, though it should stay subordinate to the image and headline.

Yellow feels familiar and documentary. Vermilion creates more urgency and can work well for a launch, warning or strong opinion. Compare the color with the uploaded photo because a pale marker over a pale image will lose its job even when the hue looks attractive in a swatch.

06

CHOOSE A PHOTO THAT SURVIVES THE PRINT

The source photo should still read after it receives newsprint texture and a small amount of ink variation. A simple portrait, a clear product silhouette or a high-contrast scene usually holds up better than a low-contrast image with important details near the edge.

Before uploading, preview the image in a 9:16 frame and decide where the face or product should land. Use a crop with breathing room around the subject, then check the final paper page rather than trusting the center crop. The image belongs to the story, while the paper supplies the editorial frame.

If the photo contains its own small text, keep that text away from the generated headline. Two competing reading layers make the opening feel busy. Crop, simplify or use the photo as a visual texture and let the typed headline carry the message.

07

SET THE FIRST SECOND DELIBERATELY

Fast is useful when the newspaper page is an opening hook and the next shot should arrive quickly. Editorial gives the headline time to settle into a readable page. Dramatic creates a longer reveal for a voice-over, a product statement or a moment where the paper itself is part of the story.

Watch the first 24 frames at quarter speed. The paper entrance, photo placement and headline landing should feel like one composed movement. A marker that appears before the target phrase is visible reads as decoration, while a marker that arrives too late misses the editorial beat.

Leave the final hold long enough for a phone reader to finish the phrase. A 2.4-second clip can still feel rushed when the headline is long. Shorten the text before extending the whole video, because a focused headline improves both the read and the rhythm.

08

CHECK THE EXPORT AS A SOCIAL INSERT

Export a clean MP4 and place it before the footage that follows. Check the cut point, the title's contrast, the marker's alignment and the final image hold. A browser preview can feel spacious when it is viewed alone, while the same clip may feel late beside a fast talking-head shot.

Use 1080 x 1920 at 30 FPS as the starting point for TikTok, Reels and Shorts. Use 60 FPS when the surrounding timeline needs it or the marker movement benefits from extra samples. Add platform audio and captions in the destination editor so the visual export stays reusable.

If the page looks soft, verify the output dimensions and the editor's second encode before changing the paper material. If the headline becomes hard to read, increase contrast, shorten the line or move it away from the platform UI area. Those changes address the cause more directly than adding another texture layer.
